What skill level should I have to join a Guided Journey trip?

Our Guided Journeys are fun trips for friends and families to get out and enjoy being on the water.

Depending on your trip, you should consider the following:

How comfortable are you being in the outdoors?

This is an all-day trip, so you should be prepared to spend up to six hours outside without going indoors. We may have the opportunity to visit a bathroom during the day, but there is no guarantee, so being comfortable with "wilderwee" is advisable.

Padding skill?

This is an intermediate "blue" trip, meaning we’ll be on the river, including sections of whitewater rapids, which may result in splashes or out-of-boat experiences.

You don't need to have done canoeing before, but we will spend up to five hours a day on the water, with plenty of opportunities for leg stretches during breaks on land.

Who do I paddle with?

Our Guided Journeys are designed as tandem trips. If your party has an odd number of people, your guide will paddle with one group member.
